Tour Information and Updates

 

1. Departure Day. 27th December 2005.

 

Everyone will meet at Sydney International Terminal Tue 27th December at 1.45.p.m. We are flying Thai Airlines to Rome via Singapore Flight TG 996. We will meet in the terminal space adjacent to the Thai Airlines Check In counters. Do not check in until the full group has arrived. Continue to check the CATW P/L website during the next 2 weeks for tour updates.

Payment must arrive by Wednesday 14.12.05. Late payments will be returned.

• Mobile Phone w/global roaming connection
• Student ID or Drivers Licence. (Important for admission at student rates)
• Teacher ID or Federation Card. ( Important for admission at professional rates)
• Money/ Travellers Cheques/ Credit Cards
• 1x Impact resistant suitcase- No extendable zippered compartments.
• Soft fabric back pack.
• Very Warm Clothes, Headwear, Scarves & Gloves. Warm socks.
• Underwear
• Toiletries
• Waterproof & Comfortable Shoes
• Changes of  Warm Clothes
• Lighter & Casual  clothing for the cruise.
• Suit (Coat & Tie) After 5.00 dress for formal night of cruise & Moulin Rouge.
• Foldable Back Pack.
• Cap/ Sunscreen, Water Bottle, “Chap Stick”
• Camera (with film or memory card)
• Swimming Costume (optional).
• Electrical power point adaptors. One per Room for USA, UK & Europe. You can purchase universal adaptors.
• Your battery recharger for cameras and mobile phones.

• Ladies…you can also take a hand bag with you as part of your “carry on” luggage

Cash &Travellers.

Rates are currently good for Euro, Stg & USD. Try to purchase Travellers cheques and cash in each currenct to avoid double commission rates when encashing. American Express cheques should be preffered. They have lots of offices ( if cheques are lost) and their commission on their own cheques are small, sometimes free.

 

Formal Night on the Cruise

Suit/Coat & Tie for gents. Evening wear for ladies. You will need the same if attending Moulin Rouge.

• Lateness

Be aware that individuals lateness, particularly with bus times and schedules incurs a per hour additional payment. This varies from each country but generally, 15 minutes incurs a full hourly rate of  85.00 - 100.00 USD, Stg or Euros. Payment of this fee is the responsibility of the late individual.
Lateness at airports means that you could  be refused right to board your flight.

Prepaid Meals in Italy.

It will be advantageous to have a half board meals component at our Italy Hotels.
In  cases high lighted it will be essential to meet schedules to have lunch or dinner at these hotels. These meals are most affordable. Half boardd means included breakfast at all hotels and an additional prepaid Lunch or Dinner.
Payments/person are requested by December 14th for the amounts indicated.

The New Years Dinner at the Adriatico Hotel in Florence is 85.00 Eur/100.00 USD/ 139.00AUD/per person. I feel this is unaffordable especially for a family of 4. We will opt for a half board lunch at this hotel instead and forage for an early dinner of our own choosing.
